Common questions

Commercial plumbing questions

Straight answers, before you call.

What kind of commercial work do you take?

Service and repair for commercial buildings and multifamily property. Restrooms, water heaters, drain and sewer lines, backflow, fixture replacement and tenant improvement plumbing.

Can you work outside business hours so we stay open?

Yes. Shutting water off to a building during trading hours is often the expensive part of the repair, not the repair itself, so commercial work is commonly scheduled early, late or on a weekend. Calls are answered seven days a week.

Do you handle backflow testing?

Yes, backflow prevention assembly work is part of the commercial scope. Most commercial properties and any building with an irrigation or fire system have a testing requirement attached to them.

Do you work with property managers on multiple buildings?

Yes. Multifamily and managed portfolios are a regular part of the work, including unit-by-unit repairs and common-area lines.

Will a tenant's unit be out of water all day?

Not usually, and the scope of the shutoff is something you should be told before the work starts rather than discovering it from a tenant. The plumber will tell you what has to be isolated and for roughly how long.

How is commercial work priced?

City View gives a flat, upfront price you approve before any work starts. There is no published price list, because the figure depends on what the plumber finds on site. You hear the number first, then decide.
